GPS stands for global positioning system. GNSS stands for global navigation satellite system. The difference between GPS or GNSS is basic. It is a position that we receive on the earth that comes from a satellite. We send a message up to the satellite, and it comes back down to tell us our location. These satellites revolve around the earth. This satellite particularly, specific to the US or to the Americas, is called GPS. GNSS is more broad because the satellite covers a wider scope. Europe has its own constellations of satellites that are revolving. Australia has its own constellations and satellites that are revolving around the earth. China also has satellites that are revolving around the earth. The entire network, composed of GPS constellations, including Beidou, Galileo, Glonass, all make up what we call GNSS. No matter which market you are in, our sensor is going to ping those satellites and be able to tell you exactly where you are. It is a global network of satellites that are working in harmony to give you a position. Boris Vassilev obtained his MSc in Avionics in High Military School, Bulgaria and was awarded a Ph.D. from Air Force Academy “N. E. Jucovskij”, Moscow, Russia for his work on integration of inertial navigation system with radio navigation systems. Since 1996 up to 2014 Dr Vassilev worked as Associate Professor in Technical University of Sofia. Currently he is invited lecturer in the same university. Since 2003 up to 2012, he has been a participant in the working group of the EGNOS monitoring network established by Eurocontrol. Dr Vassilev is winner of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) special prize in European Satellite Navigation Competition (ESNC) for 2012 year.

Global Navigation Satellite System, popularly known as GNSS, is satellite navigation that uses constellations of satellites to pinpoint the geographic location of a user's receiver on the Earth's surface. The GNSS systems were primarily developed for military use. But with the availability of GNSS signals to the public, the GNSS technology has become part of everyday life – it is used in mobile phones, car navigation systems, rescue missions, and applications in rail networks, mining, agriculture, and environmental monitoring. Precise Positioning brings the real-time, highprecision GNSS positioning of Swift Navigation’s Skylark™ cloud-based corrections service to Deutsche Telekom customers for improved positioning and navigation in all kinds of autonomous vehicles, transport, logistics, robotics, and mobile applications. Labeled as the most performing GNSS rover receiver, the Stonex S990A unquestionably sets the standard for surveying GPS at a new level. Though it retains many of the important features of the Stonex S850A, the S990A adds several improvements and additions. While the Stonex S990A has many of the benefits of the S850A, what are some features exclusive to it? For starters, the S990A has an impressive 32 GB memory. This is a significant improvement to the Stonex S850A which only has 8 GB. Another area of improvement that the S990A provides is in the battery life. While the S850A has a battery of up to 9 hours, the S990A can last up to 10 hours.
